The collection traced Coco Chanel’s journey from Edwardian constraint to the freedom she sought in dress.
Among the guests was Nicole Kidman, who attended the Monday night show on October 5 with her 15-year-old daughter Faith as her plus one. Dua Lipa and Pedro Pascal were also in the audience, but the Nicole Kidman Chanel show appearance drew some of the biggest attention of the night.

Kidman, 59, wore a charcoal gray double-breasted blazer dress with gold buttons, paired with black tights, black pumps and a burgundy clutch. Her blonde hair was styled in a sleek blowout with long bangs that nearly covered her eyes. In one widely shared photo, she blows a kiss toward the cameras, adding a playful note to an otherwise polished look.
The outfit leaned into the house’s classic tweed codes without feeling overdone. It fit the mood of a collection that Blazy built around continuity with room for change. Her daughter coordinated in gray Chanel pieces, giving the pair a matching feel without looking identical.

The show carried extra meaning for the actress. It landed on the eve of her first anniversary as an official Chanel ambassador, a role she took on in October 2025. She also has a long history with the house, having starred in a Chanel No. 5 advertisement in 2004, more than 20 years before she became an ambassador.
Her return to the front row also marks a year since she first appeared at one of Blazy’s Chanel shows, which had its own backdrop. Last year’s presentation was a family outing with both of her daughters and came shortly after she filed for divorce from Keith Urban. This year’s appearance feels more settled, with Kidman now a year into her ambassador role.

The Chanel evening was part of a larger family trip. Kidman’s older daughter Sunday walked in the Valentino show the day before, on Sunday, October 4. Faith attended that Valentino presentation too, a show where each guest was asked to bring a book that would later be donated to a local library.
Sunday also accompanied her mother and sister to the Chanel show, so the family was together for the main event. The trip gave Kidman a chance to support her daughters while keeping her own fashion calendar going.
The collection itself helped explain the buzz. Blazy’s work is now a year into his tenure at the house, and the AP described his contribution as restoring a sense that Chanel’s familiar ingredients can still produce something unexpected. That balance was visible in a show that blended sportswear with evening dresses while holding onto the house’s recognizable codes.
For Kidman, aligning herself with that creative direction fits the way she has described her interest in the house. She has spoken about her appreciation for haute couture and her excitement about Blazy’s vision. Seeing him build on the label’s heritage from the front row seems to be a natural next step.
