‘Spider-Man Brand New Day’ has spent this entire year rewriting expectations before a single review has even gone live. From trailer views to pre-sale numbers, every metric surrounding Tom Holland’s fourth solo outing as the wall crawler has pointed toward something unusually massive, and now prediction markets are getting in on the action too.

Kalshi, the CFTC-regulated platform where users trade on real-world event outcomes, has been tracking forecasts for how the film will ultimately perform on Rotten Tomatoes once reviews start rolling in. Those numbers have been climbing steadily in the weeks leading up to release, reflecting growing confidence among traders that critics are going to respond warmly to Destin Daniel Cretton’s take on the character.

According to the platform’s latest data, traders are now forecasting a 91.8 percent score for the film once its Tomatometer goes live. That places the movie firmly in the certified fresh range, and it comes as the overall Kalshi forecast has continued trending upward across recent weeks rather than holding steady or dipping.

That upward movement has not happened in a vacuum. Kalshi’s own market analysis has tied the climb specifically to sentiment building around Tom Holland’s public comments regarding his time filming Christopher Nolan’s ‘The Odyssey’, a stretch that reportedly required Holland to make an uncomfortable request to Sony to adjust ‘Brand New Day’s own production schedule so he could take the role.

The forecast breakdown also reveals some nuance beneath that headline number. According to Kalshi’s tracking, the probability of the film scoring above ninety percent currently sits at 67 percent, described as favored but far from a lock, while the odds of it clearing ninety five percent remain much lower at just 27 percent.

That gap matters because it shows the market isn’t drifting uniformly toward maximum optimism. Traders appear confident the film will land somewhere in strongly positive territory, without necessarily betting on an all time classic level reception.

This kind of market confidence lines up with everything else surrounding the film’s rollout so far. Its first trailer became the most watched movie trailer in history, reaching 718.6 million views within its first 24 hours and eventually surpassing 1.1 billion views total, easily beating the previous record set by ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’.

The film picks up four years after ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’, following Peter Parker as an adult living entirely alone after voluntarily erasing himself from the memories of everyone he loves. According to its official synopsis, the pressure of fighting crime full-time in a city that no longer remembers him sparks a surprising physical evolution that threatens his existence, even as a new and unusually powerful threat begins to emerge.

The film reunites Holland with returning cast members, including Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, and Mark Ruffalo’s Bruce Banner, while introducing new additions like Sadie Sink, Tramell Tillman, and Liza Colon Zayas into the mix. With that combination of returning fan favorites and closely guarded new mysteries, it is easy to see why anticipation and now market confidence keep building.

Whether the film actually lives up to these lofty trader predictions remains to be seen once embargoes lift and real reviews start pouring in. For now, both fans and financial markets alike seem to be betting heavily that Holland’s fourth outing as Spider-Man is going to be something special.
