‘Real Housewives of Salt Lake City’ Season 7 Trailer Drops: Mary Opens Up About Her Son’s Death as Angie and Whitney Face Separation Drama
The women of Salt Lake City are preparing to return for another dramatic season, but this time the new episodes will bring a much more emotional side of the franchise. Bravo has released the first trailer for season 7 of ‘The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City’, teasing difficult conversations, relationship problems, and a heartbreaking chapter for Mary Cosby.
Bravo confirmed that season 7 will premiere on Wednesday, September 16, with a supersized episode airing at 8 p.m. The announcement also came with the first look at what fans can expect from the upcoming season, which brings back the full season 6 cast.
Returning this year are Lisa Barlow, Mary Cosby, Heather Gay, Angie Katsanevas, Meredith Marks, Bronwyn Newport, and Whitney Rose. Britani Bateman will return as a friend of the group, while Ashley Quai joins the cast in the same role.
One of the biggest storylines in the new season will focus on Mary Cosby and the loss of her son, Robert Cosby Jr. Production on the season was temporarily paused following his death, with filming later continuing as Mary and her family dealt with the tragedy.
Robert Cosby Jr. had appeared on the show alongside his mother and previously opened up about his struggles with substance abuse during season 5. In a conversation with Mary, he spoke about using substances including Xanax, acid, Molly, and cocaine.
According to reports from The Hollywood Reporter, police responded to an overdose call involving Robert Cosby Jr. on February 23, and the incident later became a death investigation.
In the season 7 trailer, Mary opens up about the support she received from her husband, Robert Cosby Sr., who returned to filming after staying away from the spotlight for several years. While reflecting on their relationship, Mary says, “You’ve been my strength, my side piece… I’m so blessed and thankful I can go through this with Robert Sr.”
She also expresses gratitude toward the rest of the cast, telling them, “I could not have got through without you guys. You all was there for me.”
Along with Mary’s emotional journey, the upcoming season will also explore major changes in the relationships of Angie Katsanevas and Whitney Rose. Both women have recently faced reports about struggles in their marriages, and the trailer gives fans a look at those difficult moments.
Angie’s husband, Shawn Trujillo, appears to discuss the possibility of the couple separating and the effect it could have on their family. In the trailer, he says, “The most important person here is [our daughter] Elektra. If we choose to go our separate ways, that will crush her.” Angie is shown becoming emotional during the conversation.
Whitney Rose is also expected to face challenges in her personal life as the season explores changes within her marriage.
Season 7 arrives after a dramatic previous season and looks set to bring some of the franchise’s most personal stories yet. While ‘RHOSLC’ has always delivered friendships, arguments, and shocking moments, the new episodes appear to focus more heavily on grief, family, and major life decisions.
New episodes of ‘The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City’ season 7 will air Wednesdays on Bravo and will be available to stream the following day on Peacock.
