Legendary director Ridley Scott is working on a new post-apocalyptic sci-fi movie called The Dog Stars. The film is set to be released in spring 2026 and will star Jacob Elordi, Josh Brolin, and Margaret Qualley.

The movie is based on the 2012 novel The Dog Stars by Peter Heller. The story takes place after a deadly flu virus has wiped out most of the human population. Life is hard and dangerous, but some people are still trying to survive and even find hope.

Jacob Elordi plays Hig, a man who used to be a regular pilot before the world fell apart. Now, he flies a small plane and lives in an old hangar with his dog. He is joined by a tough ex-marine, played by Josh Brolin.

The two men work together to defend themselves against outsiders and try to find a new life beyond the place they call home.

The script was written by Mark L. Smith, who also wrote Twisters and The Revenant.

In addition to the main cast, Benedict Wong has also joined the film in a mystery role. Margaret Qualley, known for The Leftovers and Maid, is also part of the ensemble cast, though her role hasn’t been revealed yet.

Scott has many other projects in the works as well. He is planning a movie about the Bee Gees, another Alien film, and possibly a third Gladiator movie. However, The Dog Stars seems to be his main focus right now.

The movie will mix action, emotion, and survival in a world where everything has changed. Fans of science fiction and Ridley Scott’s work are looking forward to seeing what he does with this haunting story of hope after disaster.
