Robert Pattinson, 39, Debuts Dramatic New Look and Fans Cannot Stop Talking
Robert Pattinson is getting a lot of attention again, but this time it is because he looks completely different from what fans are used to seeing. A newly released trailer for Dune Part Three, which dropped on March 17, gave people their first look at Pattinson in his new role.
The footage quickly spread online, and many viewers were surprised by how much he had changed his appearance. In the film, Pattinson plays Scytale, one of the main villains in the story. Instead of his usual dark hair and sharp features, he now has a very pale look.
His hair is cut short and dyed a light blonde color, almost white. His eyebrows are also bleached, making them barely visible. On top of that, he is seen with purple-toned lips, which adds to the unusual style.
This is a big shift from how audiences remember him in films like Twilight or The Batman. The new look makes him hard to recognize at first glance, and that is exactly why people are talking about it.
The story of the new Dune film continues the journey of Paul Atreides, played by Timothée Chalamet. Pattinson’s character is part of a group that stands against him, making him one of the key figures in the conflict.
According to the trailer and early details from the film’s promotion, this third movie is based on the book Dune Messiah and will continue the larger story created by director Denis Villeneuve.
This is not the only time recently that Pattinson has experimented with his look. In a photo shoot for Interview Magazine connected to his film The Drama, he appeared in a completely different style again. In those images, he wore a long blonde wig and had red lipstick smeared across his face while posing with Zendaya.
His willingness to try strange and bold looks shows how much he commits to his roles. He often changes his appearance depending on the character, and it has become a big part of his career.
Even with all these dramatic transformations on screen, Pattinson still keeps things simple in real life. He recently attended the Vanity Fair Oscars Party wearing a classic black tuxedo. He was there with his fiancée, Suki Waterhouse.
Waterhouse, who shares a young daughter with him, wore a bold feathered outfit for the event. Their appearance together brought some normalcy after all the attention around his changing looks.
There has also been talk about their relationship status. During a press event for The Drama on March 17, Zendaya joked with Pattinson about his biggest secret. He replied with a short and playful answer.
“It’s the same one that you have,” he said. Some people took this as a hint about marriage rumors, especially since Zendaya and Tom Holland have also been surrounded by similar speculation.
Aside from Dune, Pattinson has been busy with other projects. He recently finished filming Die My Love, a thriller directed by Lynne Ramsay, where he stars alongside Jennifer Lawrence. He is also expected to return as Bruce Wayne in the next Batman film, which will again be directed by Matt Reeves.
For now, though, most of the attention is on his latest transformation. Based on the trailer and early reactions, it is clear that people are not used to seeing him like this, and that is exactly what is keeping the conversation going.
