Anime crossovers have become a staple of the entertainment and hospitality world, but few franchises pull in the kind of built-in fanbase that ‘One Piece‘ commands. The Straw Hat Pirates have sailed into everything from sneaker drops to stadium tie-ins over the past year, proving that Eiichiro Oda’s world keeps finding new ways to reach fans outside the manga and anime.

That momentum has now carried the franchise straight into the arcade and entertainment space, with a new partnership designed for families, gamers, and collectors alike. It taps into the kind of communal, in-person experience that streaming alone can’t replicate, and it’s already generating buzz among longtime fans of the series.

Round1, the bowling-and-arcade chain known for blending Japanese entertainment culture with American nightlife staples, has officially launched a ‘One Piece’ collaboration across its locations. The campaign kicked off July 18 and runs through Oct 17, bringing themed prizes, exclusive merchandise, and giveaways to 59 Round1 venues in the United States and 100 locations throughout Japan.

The centerpiece of the collaboration is a lineup of crane game prizes built entirely around the Straw Hat Crew. Guests can try their luck at claiming Chopper plush toys, Gear 5 Luffy figures, and Straw Hat Crew mini plush collectibles, all exclusive to the promotional window. For fans who’ve spent years chasing this kind of niche merchandise, the crane machines effectively become a treasure hunt in their own right.

Beyond the arcade floor, Round1 is leaning into the pirate theme across its food and beverage offerings as well. Guests who purchase select beverages receive a voucher granting access to limited-edition merchandise, while any food or drink purchase of $30 or more, including items from the special ‘One Piece’ themed menu, comes with a bonus mystery coaster. Photo opportunities and themed packages for bowling and karaoke round out the in-venue experience, giving families a reason to turn a routine outing into a full pirate adventure.

For the trading card crowd, the collaboration’s biggest draw might be the newly designed ‘One Piece’ Card Game set made specifically for this partnership. Fans selected through a registration process can collect up to 10 exclusive card designs by making qualifying reloads to their Round1 Game Card, a system that rewards regular visits rather than a single purchase.

The rollout has been staggered across multiple waves and phases to manage demand. Wave 1 went live on July 18, with Wave 2 following on Sept 1. Registration for Phase 4 of the Round1 Promotion Pack opens Aug 24 at 10 a.m. PDT, with the purchase window running from Sept 7 through Sept 13 at each guest’s designated venue, while Phase 3 pickup closed out Aug 23. Fans hoping to snag a spot need to register online in advance, since successful entrants are limited to the number specified on each registration form.

Round1 has also built in some flexibility for party bookings tied to the collaboration, with eligibility for themed party plans extending through July 16, 2027, regardless of when the party is actually booked. That gives families and groups a much longer runway to plan a ‘One Piece’ themed outing even after the core promotional window wraps up in October.

It’s the kind of layered rollout that rewards repeat visits, whether someone’s chasing a specific plush from the crane machines or trying to complete the full set of exclusive cards. With both the U.S. and Japan participating simultaneously, the collaboration also underscores just how global the ‘One Piece’ fandom has become, spanning arcades, bowling alleys, and card tables on two different continents at once.

What would you be most excited to get from the Round1 x One Piece collaboration?
