Sacha Baron Cohen may be bringing back one of his most famous characters, as a new Ali G movie has reportedly been completed. The project has been kept extremely quiet, but according to entertainment reporter Jeff Sneider at The InSneider, the film is already finished and could soon be looking for a distributor or release partner.

Ali G became one of Cohen’s biggest creations in the early 2000s, first appearing on the British comedy series Da Ali G Show. The character, a fictional wannabe gangster with a mix of confidence and cluelessness, became famous for his awkward interviews and unexpected conversations with real people. Through Ali G, Cohen used comedy to explore stereotypes, social issues, and cultural differences.

The character helped launch Cohen into worldwide fame, alongside his other well-known creations such as Borat and Brüno. At the time, many fans and critics viewed Cohen’s style as groundbreaking because he mixed comedy with real-life reactions, often creating uncomfortable but revealing moments.

Cohen has spent recent years exploring different types of roles, including serious performances in projects like The Trial of the Chicago 7 and Disclaimer. He also returned to comedy with Netflix’s Ladies First, which received negative reviews but still became popular with viewers.

Despite moving between comedy and drama, Cohen has never completely left behind the style that made him famous. A new Ali G movie would mark a major return to the character that helped define his career and could give fans a chance to see whether the controversial comedian can still surprise audiences.
