Sarah Snook, known for her role in Succession, has reportedly been offered a role in Shawn Levy’s upcoming Star Wars film. This information comes from a recent post on Daniel Richtman’s Patreon.

In November 2022, it was reported that Shawn Levy was in talks to direct a Star Wars film after his work on ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ and ‘Stranger Things.’ However, in September 2023, Levy revealed that while development on the project had begun, it was delayed due to the 2023 Writers Guild of America strike.

Following the release of ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ Levy confirmed that he is actively working on a movie so this development is not at all surprising.

By July 2024, it was announced that Jonathan Tropper, who wrote The Adam Project with Levy, would write the film’s script. In January of this year, Ryan Gosling entered talks to star in the film. His interest in the project helped speed up production, making this the next Star Wars movie to be made after The Mandalorian and Grogu.

In February 2025, Kathleen Kennedy confirmed the film’s development. She also revealed that the movie will take place “5 to 6 years” after The Rise of Skywalker.
