Scott Snyder Compares Absolute Catwoman To Ethan Hunt and John Wick

Scott Snyder, the mind behind the Absolute Batman series, has shared exciting details about the new version of Catwoman in the Absolute Universe.
In this reimagined world, Catwoman is portrayed as a powerful and resourceful character, comparable to action heroes like Ethan Hunt and John Wick.
“She’s awesome. She’s almost like Batman in this world,” Snyder said. “She’s got all the resources, she’s beyond successful. She has this whole history that you will see explored later with other bat characters. She’s like Ethan Hunt meets John Wick.”
In this universe, Catwoman isn’t just a skilled thief; she’s equipped with advanced technology. “She’s not in a leather outfit; she’s got like the outfit that’s a billion-dollar suit. That has like the cat in it and it retracts and she’s got all the gadgets and everything. Whereas Bruce doesn’t. So she’s just badass. I love her to death,” Snyder added.
In the Absolute Universe, Batman and Catwoman have a very different relationship than in other stories. In this new version, Bruce Wayne and Selina Kyle were friends when they were young.
They grew up together in the same neighborhood and were part of the same group of friends, along with others who would later become villains like Penguin and Riddler.
Because of this past, their connection is deeper and more personal. They knew each other before becoming Batman and Catwoman.
