Season 3 of Live-Action ‘One Piece’ Could Arrive Sooner Than Expected
Netflix’s live-action adaptation of One Piece is gearing up for more adventures, and fans have reason to be excited about the future.
Season 2 of the series has officially been announced for 2026, and during One Piece Day ’25 last month, the platform confirmed that a third season is also on the way.
This news has raised questions about how long viewers will have to wait, especially after the three-year gap between the first and second seasons.
According to a report by What’s on Netflix, production for Season 3, codenamed Project Arcadia, is set to start on November 24th, 2025, and continue until June 19th, 2026.
The source of this schedule comes from production listings, which line up with earlier comments from Joe Manganiello, who plays Crocodile. Speaking to CinemaBlend in May, Manganiello said he would return to film the next chapter “later this year” following the break between Seasons 2 and 3.

The first season of live-action One Piece premiered on Netflix on August 31, 2023. Critics and fans praised the show for its performances, writing, visual effects, and loyalty to the original manga.
Many outlets called it one of the best live-action adaptations of an anime or manga series. The show also became Netflix’s most-watched series for the second half of 2023. Two weeks after the first season’s release, Netflix renewed it for a second season, which began filming in June 2024. Season 2 is scheduled to premiere in 2026, and Netflix already confirmed the third season in August, even before Season 2 has hit screens.
The faster turnaround for Season 3 suggests that Netflix is eager to keep momentum going for One Piece fans. With filming dates already planned, the next season could arrive much sooner than some feared.
I think this is exciting news for fans who have been waiting patiently. Netflix seems committed to keeping One Piece moving forward without long gaps, which is great for maintaining the series’ energy and fan engagement. What do you think about the upcoming seasons?
