At a time when many celebrities turn to fillers and Botox to keep a youthful look, Jaclyn Smith says her secret is much simpler.

The 80-year-old actress recently appeared at the 2026 Paley Honors Spring Gala in New York City, where the cast celebrated 50 years of the classic TV series Charlie’s Angels. During the event, Smith reunited with her former co-star Kate Jackson, who is now 77.

According to Fox News Digital, Smith was asked how she still looks so youthful at 80. Her answer surprised many people because it had nothing to do with skincare products, strict diets, or cosmetic treatments. “Clean living, being loved,” she said.

Smith also spoke warmly about the people closest to her. “I have the best family in the whole wide world to grow up with. Great husband, two beautiful children, three granddaughters. So, it doesn’t get better than that. It’s all about love, all about family with me.”

The actress has been married to surgeon Brad Allen since 1997. She also shares two children, Gaston and Spencer, with her former husband Anthony B. Richmond.

At the gala, Smith wore a black blazer with patterned trousers and looked elegant as she posed for photos with Jackson. Later, she shared moments from the evening on Instagram and reflected on being part of the famous series for so many years.

“Kate and I were so lucky to attend and accept this on behalf of our Charlie’s Angels family,” she wrote. “Grateful doesn’t begin to encompass how I feel to have been and continue to be a part of that legacy.”

Fans quickly reacted to the reunion online. Many people remembered the late Farrah Fawcett, who starred in the original series as Jill Munroe. Fawcett died in 2009 at the age of 62 after battling anal cancer.

In a previous interview with PEOPLE, Smith spoke emotionally about her longtime friend. “Even when her legs were five times their size [from the cancer treatments], she was still the ultimate girlfriend.”

The reunion came only weeks after Smith, Jackson, and Cheryl Ladd also appeared together at a special 50th anniversary celebration for the show in Los Angeles.

Smith has also been opening up more about her personal life ahead of the release of her upcoming memoir, I Once Knew a Guy Named Charlie, which is expected to arrive in September.

Speaking to PEOPLE about the book, Smith explained that she wanted fans to see more than just the glamorous image people know from television.

“People have often asked me to share behind-the-scenes stories, and in these pages, you will find plenty,” she said. “But there is another goal I had in writing this book. And that is to finally let others see the girl behind the image.”
