Sienna Miller is opening up about why becoming a mom later in life has felt very different for her. In a recent interview with Glamour, the 44-year-old actress talked about her current pregnancy and how her mindset has changed compared to when she had her first child at 29.

Looking back, she said the biggest difference comes down to feeling more settled. When she was younger, she often felt pulled in different directions, trying to balance life, work, and expectations.

Now, things feel calmer. “Having had a baby at 29, and then having a baby at 42, and now 44, it’s so much easier when you don’t have the conflict of feeling scattered and like you want to be doing X, Y, Z,” she explained.

These days, her lifestyle is much more relaxed. She enjoys quiet evenings and doesn’t feel the same pressure to constantly be out or chasing new experiences. That shift has made motherhood feel more natural and less overwhelming.

She also said getting older helped her feel more secure in who she is. “But by the time you hit 40, you’re like, ‘I kind of know who I am. I don’t really give a s–t about what anyone else thinks,’” she shared.

During the conversation, Miller also pointed out how society often judges women for having children later in life, while men don’t face the same criticism. She admitted that she froze her eggs in her late 30s as a backup plan, which gave her peace of mind at the time.

“I was really fortunately able just to get pregnant, but it was an existential relief having done that in my late 30s,” she said. This baby will be her second child with her partner, Oli Green. The couple first revealed the pregnancy during a red carpet appearance at the 2025 Fashion Awards in London.

Not long after, she returned to Instagram for the first time in years, posting a selfie that marked her comeback to social media. Alongside her personal life, Miller is staying busy with work.

She is set to appear in the upcoming action thriller Jack Ryan: Ghost War, where she plays an MI6 officer working alongside John Krasinski’s character. The film is expected to arrive on Prime Video on May 20.

For Miller, this stage of life feels more balanced than ever. With a growing family and steady career, she seems comfortable taking things at her own pace and enjoying the experience in a way she couldn’t before.
