Sony Pictures’ Spider-Man: Brand New Day is continuing its massive run in the trailer charts, with the second trailer hitting a major global milestone. According to WaveMetrix, the trailer has recorded 590.8 million views in its first week, making it the second biggest trailer launch of all time.

This comes right after the film’s first trailer set an even higher record, becoming the most-watched trailer launch ever and the first to pass 1 billion views within just four days. Together, both releases have pushed the Tom Holland-led sequel into one of the most dominant marketing campaigns in recent blockbuster history.

The new report suggests that audience demand remains extremely high ahead of the film’s theatrical release. The movie is set to open on July 31 and is produced by Sony Pictures in collaboration with Marvel Studios. Early indicators, including advance ticket sales, have already pointed to unusually strong demand, with presales reportedly outperforming any film since Spider-Man: No Way Home in 2021.

The story of Spider-Man: Brand New Day continues Peter Parker’s journey after the world has forgotten his identity. The film follows him as he tries to balance full-time crime fighting with a life where his closest relationships have been erased from public memory. That emotional isolation is said to shape his character in new ways, especially as a new and unseen threat begins to emerge in New York City.

WaveMetrix data places the second trailer just behind the first in overall performance, reinforcing the idea that interest has not slowed down after the initial marketing push. Industry observers note that this level of sustained engagement across multiple trailers is unusual, even for major superhero releases.

The film brings back Tom Holland as Peter Parker and Zendaya in a key returning role. The cast also includes Jacob Batalon, Sadie Sink, Jon Bernthal, Tramell Tillman, Michael Mando, and Mark Ruffalo. Marvel fans have also reacted strongly to early glimpses of Bruce Banner’s involvement and the return of The Hulk, which was teased in the trailers.

Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, the screenplay is written by Chris McKenna, Erik Sommers, and Justin Kuritzkes. The film is based on the Marvel Comics created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko and is produced by Kevin Feige, Amy Pascal, Avi Arad, and Rachel O’Connor, with Louis D’Esposito and David Cain serving as executive producers.

As the release date approaches, Spider-Man: Brand New Day is already shaping up to be one of the most heavily viewed and discussed superhero films of the year, with its trailer performance signaling exceptionally strong global anticipation.
