Sony has released a brand-new trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day, giving fans their biggest look yet at Tom Holland’s next adventure as Peter Parker. The new footage reveals more details about the movie’s mysterious story while finally showing Mark Ruffalo’s savage version of Hulk in action.

The trailer focuses heavily on the growing conflict between Spider-Man and Hulk, with Peter appearing shocked by Banner’s powerful transformation. In one moment, Peter looks at Hulk and says, “I didn’t know you could get that big.” The scene quickly became one of the biggest talking points from the new footage.

After months of speculation, the latest trailer gives fans a better idea of what to expect from the fourth MCU Spider-Man movie. The footage shows more action, a darker tone, and a bigger focus on Peter’s changing powers. However, the movie is still keeping many of its biggest secrets hidden, including the identity of the main villain and the mysterious character played by Sadie Sink.

One of the biggest surprises is the first proper look at Savage Hulk. Unlike the calmer Smart Hulk version seen in recent Marvel projects, this version appears much more dangerous and closer to the uncontrollable Hulk fans remember from earlier films.

The trailer suggests that Hulk may not be acting completely on his own. He appears to be connected to a larger threat that is manipulating events behind the scenes. This creates a major challenge for Peter, who must face a powerful enemy without the support system he once had.

The return of a more aggressive Hulk also brings back memories of Avengers: Age of Ultron, where Bruce Banner lost control and became a major danger to those around him. In that movie, it took Iron Man’s Hulkbuster armor to stop him. This time, Spider-Man may have to deal with the situation using only his own abilities.

The new trailer also explores Peter’s struggle after the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home. After everyone forgot his identity, Peter has been forced to live alone while protecting New York as Spider-Man. The movie appears to continue exploring his search for purpose and his question of who he really is without the people he loves remembering him.

The footage also shows Peter searching for answers about his changing abilities. A conversation with Bruce Banner hints that Spider-Man’s powers may be evolving in ways Peter does not fully understand. Banner questions whether humans should decide which parts of nature are good or bad, suggesting that Peter’s transformation may be more complicated than simply finding a cure.

Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, Spider-Man: Brand New Day also brings back Zendaya as MJ, Jacob Batalon as Ned, and Jon Bernthal as the Punisher. The film introduces a darker story where Peter must protect the people closest to him while facing threats from multiple directions.

Cretton previously teased that audiences should approach the movie as if it could be “the last Spider-Man.” While that does not necessarily mean Peter Parker’s story is ending, it suggests the film will raise the stakes more than any previous entry.

With Spider-Man’s powers changing, Hulk becoming dangerous again, and several mysteries still unanswered, Brand New Day is shaping up to be one of Marvel’s biggest releases yet. The film arrives with the promise of a more intense and personal chapter for Holland’s version of the wall-crawler.
