Fans outside the US are also covered. The series streams exclusively on Paramount+ in the UK, Latin America, Australia, Italy, France, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, and Japan, with Canada also getting it through the platform. In parts of Europe, the show has a different home, as it streams on SkyShowtime in the Nordics, the Netherlands, Spain, Portugal, and Central and Eastern Europe.

‘Star Trek: Strange New Worlds’ Season 4 Release Schedule

Season 4 premieres globally on Paramount+ today, Thursday, July 23, arriving as part of the franchise’s 60th anniversary celebration. The premiere episode is titled “Valles Marineris,” named after a massive system of craters and canyons found on Mars.

The season will follow the same weekly rollout fans have come to expect, with new episodes launching every Thursday. Episode two, “The Griffin Incident,” lands on July 30, followed by “Human Best Friend” on August 6, “A Case of Chiaroscuro” on August 13, and “Level Five Transporter Accident” on August 20.

In total, Season 4 will run for 10 episodes, wrapping up with a finale on September 24. That gives fans a solid two months of weekly adventures to look forward to before the story pauses ahead of the next chapter.

Notably, this is the last time ‘Strange New Worlds’ will have a 10 episode season. The upcoming fifth and final season is set to arrive in 2027 with only six episodes, designed to serve as a direct bridge into the original ‘Star Trek’ series.

Who Is Returning for the New Season

The Enterprise’s full crew is back for Season 4, led once again by Anson Mount as Captain Christopher Pike. Ethan Peck returns as Spock, and Rebecca Romijn is back as Number One, also known as Una Chin Riley.

The biggest returning name for many fans is Paul Wesley, who is confirmed to reprise his role as James T. Kirk. Rebecca Romijn spoke about the new season while at CCXP Mexico, telling the crowd she and the cast are extremely proud of both this season and the next. According to comments shared by 3DVF, the actress described the upcoming episodes as some of the show’s strongest material yet.

What to Expect from the New Episodes

The Season 4 trailer, released in mid June, signals a tonal shift back toward classic episodic ‘Star Trek’ storytelling, leaning into standalone planet of the week adventures rather than heavily serialized arcs. That approach helped build the show’s reputation as the most acclaimed series in the modern franchise.

Among the wilder teases in the trailer are an episode centered on space cowboys, a black hole, and yes, actual dinosaurs. There is also a previously announced episode filmed with Jim Henson’s Creature Shop, transforming the crew into Muppet style puppets for an entire installment.

The season also picks up emotional threads left behind by the Season 3 finale, which saw Captain Marie Batel sacrifice herself to keep a dangerous ancient species contained, leaving Pike to process yet another devastating loss.
