Star Wars Resistance..Where Does It Land In The Timeline?

When Star Wars Rebels ended, fans all over the world were left asking, “What next?” After all, as Star Wars fans, we occasionally need the void filled. Shortly after its conclusion, Disney answered that question in the form of Star Wars Resistance.

Star Wars Resistance will lead directly into The seventh instalment of the franchise, The Force Awakens. While we already knew this, what we didn’t know was exactly where it would land. After a little bit of clever decoding of the website, a fan shared an image to his Twitter feed. The image clearly shows that the series will take place approximately six months before the movie.

The behind the scenes text states, “Set about six months before The Force Awakens, Star Wars Resistance tells the story of KazudaXiono, a young pilot recruited by the Resistance and tasked with a top-secret mission to spy on the growing threat of the First Order.”

What does this mean?

Quite simply this means that the series will follow that of KazudaXiono, a newly appointed member of the Resistance, and his efforts for the Resistance. This most likely will lead right up to the beginning of The Force Awakens.

While it was originally speculated that the series would follow that of Poe Dameron, BB-8, and Captain Phasma, it appears that this thought will die as speculation. Instead, we will learn of yet another hero whose efforts help to change the tide in a war that never ends.

Star Wars Resistance is set to premiere October 7, 2018, on Disney XD. If you haven’t watched the initial trailer, you can find it below.

May The Force Be With You.
