‘Supernatural’ Stars Will Unleash Chaos in ‘The Boys’ Season 5 as Jared Padalecki & Misha Collins Join the Cast
In June 2024, after a lot of fans speculating and talking online, Jared Padalecki confirmed that he will be joining the cast of The Boys for its fifth and final season. This news was a big deal, especially since Supernatural fans have long hoped for a crossover of sorts.
The Boys creator, Eric Kripke, had mentioned in the past that he would love to bring Jared Padalecki into the show. Kripke, who also worked on Supernatural, jokingly said he felt like he needed to “complete my game of Supernatural Pokémon,” referring to how he wanted to bring in the beloved Supernatural stars to his new project.
At the San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) in July 2024, Kripke spoke with Variety and shared some exciting updates. He said that he and Jared had been in touch, texting back and forth, discussing the possibility of Jared’s role in The Boys.
However, Kripke wasn’t sure whether Jared would have a one-episode guest appearance or something bigger. They were still trying to figure out what role would be the best fit for him, but Kripke was certain that Jared would be a part of the show. Fans are eagerly awaiting to see how Jared’s character will fit into the The Boys world.
Now the show has dropped a bombshell announcement as Jared Padalecki and Misha Collins appear in a short video titled “Season 5 Casting Announce.”
While Jared is speaking, you can see Impala in the background with a famous sigil trap in the trunk used to trap demons.
Virtually nothing is known about Collins’ and Padalecki’s roles in the upcoming season, but now that crew is back together we know it’s going to be a wild ride.
