Sydney Sweeney Shares “Euphoria” Season 3 Raunchy BTS Shots Ahead of Finale: “It’s Called Acting”
‘Euphoria’ star Sydney Sweeney has shared a set of behind-the-scenes images ahead of the season 3 finale, drawing attention online for both the visuals and her caption, “it’s called… acting.”
The post quickly spread among fans because it includes a mix of on-set moments and recreated scene images from the current season. Sweeney, who plays Cassie Howard in the series, appears in several different looks tied to key storylines from the season.
In one image, she is seen in a wedding dress with a bloodied nose while sitting next to Jacob Elordi’s character, Nate Jacobs. The shot reflects one of the more intense and chaotic story threads in the show’s current season, where Cassie’s relationship with Nate continues to cause emotional damage and conflict.
Another image shows Sweeney in her well-known “puppy” costume from the season, a costume that appears during Cassie’s increasingly unstable emotional arc. The image has already become one of the more discussed visuals from the show’s production cycle.
In a separate photo, she is shown posing topless with a snake wrapped around her upper body. Another image features her in a leopard-print leotard while filming a stylized sequence involving a “Godzilla” themed fantasy moment tied to Cassie’s exaggerated emotional state in the show.
The collection also includes lighter behind-the-scenes pictures with cast members. These include Alexa Demie, who plays Maddy Perez, and Jacob Elordi. Their characters remain central to the ongoing drama between Cassie, Nate, and Maddy, which continues to drive much of the season’s tension.
HBO’s Euphoria has followed Cassie Howard’s increasingly unstable storyline this season. In the most recent episodes, Cassie attempts to rebuild her social media presence after losing access to her OnlyFans account inside the story. The character quickly tries to regain attention online, which leads her deeper into risky decisions and public humiliation.
In one of the key plot moments from the May 24 episode, Cassie reconnects with a character named Dylan. After their encounter, she uploads a selfie of them together without his knowledge, which quickly helps her regain followers and rebuild her online attention. This becomes another turning point in her story as she continues chasing validation through social media popularity.
Sydney Sweeney’s performance this season has sparked strong reactions online. Many fans have praised her commitment to the role, while others have criticized how the storyline portrays sex work and online creators. Some real-life content creators have also spoken out, saying the show’s depiction does not reflect their actual experiences.

Series creator Sam Levinson addressed Cassie’s storyline in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter. He explained the creative approach behind the more exaggerated and surreal moments in the season. Levinson said, “[Cassie] has got her dog house and her little dog ears and the nose, and that has its own humor.” He added, “What we wanted to always find is the other layer of absurdity that we’re able to tie into it so that we’re not too inside of her fantasy or illusion. The gag is to jump out, to break the wall.”
The BTS post comes just as the season approaches its finale, which airs on HBO on Sundays at 9 p.m. ET. The show continues to generate strong discussion online, especially around Cassie’s storyline and Sweeney’s performance, which remains one of the most talked-about parts of the season.
