Action Man is a British action figure brand launched by Palitoy in 1966 as a licensed version of Hasbro’s G.I. Joe figure. The original figures were based on American military themes before later versions from 1970 onward shifted focus to British armed forces, uniforms, and accessories. After ending production in 1984, *Action Man* was revived in 1993 with a design inspired by the *G.I. Joe Hall of Fame* figure.
