George Clooney (actor and filmmaker)

George Clooney is an American actor and filmmaker known for roles in ER, the Ocean’s franchise, Up in the Air, Gravity, and The Descendants, earning two Academy Awards, a BAFTA, and four Golden Globes. He has also directed films including Good Night, and Good Luck, The Ides of March, and The Tender Bar, and co-produced Argo, which won the Oscar for Best Picture. Beyond entertainment, Clooney is known for humanitarian and political activism, has served as a UN Messenger of Peace since 2008, and has been married to human rights lawyer Amal Clooney since 2014.
