Get Jiro (TV Series)

‘Get Jiro’ is a 10-episode animated series based on the New York Times bestselling DC/Vertigo graphic novel by Anthony Bourdain and Joel Rose, set in a dystopian near-future Los Angeles where rival master chefs hold all the power and customers will kill to secure a table at top restaurants. The story follows Jiro (voiced by Brian Tee), a mysterious, revenge-driven sushi chef who arrives in the city and begins pitting the warring culinary factions against each other as part of a larger personal vendetta. Directed by Rick Morales and created by Alessandro Tanaka and Brian Gatewood, the series also features Titus Welliver, Alison Pill, Justin Kirk, and Garret Dillahunt, and premieres October 3 on Adult Swim’s Toonami block before streaming the next day on HBO Max.
