Supacell (TV Series)

Supacell is a British superhero series created by Rapman for Netflix that premiered in June 2024. Set in South London, it follows five ordinary Black Britons who suddenly develop superpowers connected to a shared family history of sickle cell disease, making them targets of a secret organization. The series blends superhero action with social issues such as racial profiling, knife crime, poverty, and medical exploitation. It received positive reviews after its debut and was renewed for a second season in August 2024.
