The Remarried Empress (TV Series)

‘The Remarried Empress’ is a live-action adaptation of the hit webtoon of the same name, premiering November 4 on Disney+ internationally and Hulu in the US, starring Shin Mina, Ju Jihoon, Lee Jongsuk, and Lee Seyoung. The story follows Empress Navier, who agrees to divorce her unfaithful husband Emperor Sovieshu after he falls for a runaway slave, on the condition that she’s allowed to remarry Crown Prince Heinrey of a rival kingdom, sparking a power struggle between the two realms. Described by Disney as its most expensive Korean production to date, the 10-episode series will roll out four episodes at launch followed by weekly releases through its November 25 finale.
