Transformers is a media franchise created by Hasbro and Takara Tomy, centered on the heroic Autobots and villainous Decepticons, alien robots that can transform into vehicles, animals, and other forms.
Beginning with the 1984 toy line, the franchise expanded into animated series, comics, video games, and films, spawning numerous continuities and reboots such as *Beast Wars*, the live-action movies, and *Transformers One*.
