The 600 Hour Dress Emma Stone Wore to the Oscars Had Everyone Talking
Emma Stone brought a glamorous touch to the red carpet at the 98th Academy Awards. The actress arrived at the ceremony wearing a custom white gown from Louis Vuitton that shimmered under the lights at the Dolby Theatre.
The design featured a square neckline, short cap sleeves, and an open back, giving the look a clean but striking shape. According to reports from the Oscars red carpet, the dress required more than 600 hours of work to complete.
The delicate fabric was covered in subtle sequins that reflected light with every movement. The structured sleeves added a slightly architectural feel to the otherwise soft design.

Stone kept her accessories simple. She wore diamond huggie earrings and an ear cuff from the jewelry brand Repossi. Her copper-colored bob hairstyle helped highlight the pieces.
Her makeup followed the same soft color palette as the gown, with pale eyeshadow, long lashes, and a peach-toned lip. The actress attended the ceremony as a nominee for Best Actress for her role in the film Bugonia.
This marked her fourth nomination in the Best Actress category and the seventh Oscar nomination of her career. If she were to win, she would become one of the few actresses in history to collect three Best Actress awards. She previously won the honor for her performances in La La Land and Poor Things.

During awards season, Stone has often used the red carpet to show bold looks from Louis Vuitton, the fashion house she frequently collaborates with. But despite the glamour of these events, she has said that the most meaningful parts of the experience usually happen away from the cameras.
In an interview with Elle earlier this year, she explained that the quiet moments on set are what she remembers most. “My favorite moments are in-between—riding together in a van, being with the crew,” she said.
She also spoke about what the Oscars represent at the end of a long filmmaking journey. “If you have the honor of getting there, of attending the Oscars, it’s the end of the road for a film. That part is emotional and special.”
Bugonia has been one of the most talked-about films of the year. The movie reunited Stone with director Yorgos Lanthimos, a filmmaker she has worked with several times. The unusual story follows two men who kidnap a powerful pharmaceutical executive, played by Stone, because they believe she might be an alien planning to destroy Earth.
The dark comedy also stars Jesse Plemons and Alicia Silverstone and is inspired by the South Korean cult movie Save the Green Planet! from 2003. Stone’s career remains extremely active. She recently finished filming a romantic comedy called The Catch, directed by her husband Dave McCary.
The movie also stars Chris Pine and brings Stone back to the kind of lighthearted roles that first made her famous. There are also early reports that she may produce and possibly appear in a new project centered on the classic Muppets character Miss Piggy.
Through her production company Fruit Tree, Stone has been taking on more projects behind the camera while still acting in major films. Her creative partnership with Lanthimos is also expected to continue, with new projects reportedly being discussed.
With several films in development and multiple award nominations already behind her, Emma Stone continues to be one of the most influential actresses working in Hollywood today.
