‘The Devil Wears Prada 2’ Star Emily Blunt (43) Jokes About Men’s Fashion Choice She Says She “Simply Can’t Stand”
Emily Blunt recently shared a funny moment about her husband John Krasinski’s fashion choices, saying she was not a fan of one particular red carpet outfit at first.
The actress spoke about it during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, where she discussed Krasinski’s look from the Golden Globes. He had worn a dark suit with a turtleneck, a style Blunt says she usually dislikes.
She admitted she had a strong reaction when she first heard about it. “To be honest, I have a complete aversion to turtlenecks,” she said. “When John showed me the outfit and said, ‘And this is a turtleneck,’ I had to pull myself together and put on a neutral expression.”
At first, she was unsure about the look. But her opinion changed once she saw him wearing it. She said he ended up looking sharp and gave off a vintage style that reminded her of classic film stars. She even compared him to a young Michael Caine and said he had a cool 1960s feel.
Still, she joked that her dislike for turtlenecks in general remains. She also added that she is not a fan of certain men’s jackets, especially shiny, tight, cropped bomber-style designs or what she called “dad leather jackets.”
Blunt and Krasinski have been married since 2010 and share two daughters. They also often work together in film, including the A Quiet Place franchise, where Krasinski directs and Blunt stars. A third film in the series has also been mentioned and is expected in the coming years.
There is something quite relatable about how she talks about it. Even in Hollywood, where fashion is a big deal, she is honest about what she likes and what she does not. At the same time, it is clear she can still change her mind when she sees the final result.
What do you think about her take on men’s fashion choices? Do you agree with her dislike of turtlenecks and certain jackets, or is she being too strict? Share your thoughts in the comments.
