‘The Housemaid’ Star Sydney Sweeney Says Goodbye to Summer With One Last Photo Dump, and Fans Have Picked a Favorite
The first pumpkin on a porch is the unofficial signal that summer is over, and celebrities feel it too. Instagram feeds fill up with final beach shots, road trip snaps, and one last look back before autumn arrives. Sydney Sweeney’s summer photo dump is the latest example, and it came with a very relatable trigger.
The actress has spent much of the year on major projects, from finishing ‘Euphoria’ to launching her own business ventures. That makes a break-filled carousel feel especially earned. This one covered a lot of ground.
Sweeney shared a 20-photo carousel on Friday, September 25. In the caption, she joked that seeing pumpkins on someone’s front porch was her sign that it was time for one last summer dump. The idea for the post, in other words, came from a simple seasonal reminder.

She wore a coordinated SYRN outfit on a rocky hillside, with a light gray baby tee with red trim. The set closed with a kiss with her boyfriend, Scooter Braun, and a warm sunset. It felt like a summer in miniature.
Two of the standout scenes came from Italy. Sweeney attended the 83rd Venice International Film Festival earlier this month, where she and Braun celebrated her birthday. In one photo she wears a flowing powder-blue gown with a flower detail at the hip and a high-low hem in a marble bathroom mirror selfie.
In another, she rides a boat through Venice’s canals in a strapless white outfit and dark sunglasses, looking out at historic buildings along the water. That is the image Index used to illustrate its story. It is also the one that best captures the classic Italian setting.
According to Index, followers showered the post with compliments. Many singled out the second photo in the set, which shows Sweeney diving, as their favorite. Some commenters joked that the picture summed up the entire summer.

In June, she announced a producing label, Honey Trap, with collaborator Kaylee McGregor. The company’s first project is ‘Hollow,’ a reimagining of ‘The Legend of Sleepy Hollow’ in which Belmont Cameli recently joined her. Behind-the-scenes control like this shows how far her career has expanded beyond acting.
Her upcoming slate is packed. ‘The Housemaid’s Secret,’ the sequel to her hit thriller, is set for December 17, 2027, with Kirsten Dunst joining the cast. The original film grossed over $400 million worldwide.
She is also attached to ‘The Custom of the Country,’ an Edith Wharton adaptation directed by Josie Rourke in which she plays Undine Spragg. Other projects include a live-action ‘Gundam’ film and ‘Scandalous!,’ in which she will play Kim Novak under Colman Domingo’s direction. With that much work on the horizon, it makes sense that she wanted to savor every bit of summer first.
