The Actor Awards gave fans of The Office a treat as the ladies of Dunder Mifflin reunited on stage. Mindy Kaling, Jenna Fischer, Ellie Kemper, and Angela Kinsey appeared at the Shrine Auditorium on March 1 to present the award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series, according to coverage from entertainment outlets.

The four actresses, who played some of the most memorable characters on the show, had fun recalling the long production schedules from the early 2000s. Mindy Kaling, now 46, joked about the grueling pace.

We are women who survived 22-episode seasons, she said, drawing laughs from the crowd. Angela Kinsey added that there were no short orders back then, while Ellie Kemper noted that life events often had to be worked into scripts because of the long filming schedule.

The group shared stories about working through pregnancies and personal milestones while keeping up with filming. You just gave birth on camera and named the baby after a grip, Kaling laughed. Fischer chimed in, Then you came back the next week with another episode.

Despite the exhaustion, Kinsey mentioned that the steady schedule was a blessing. Those 22 episodes guaranteed a job from September through May, she said. Kaling also talked about her time writing for the show, admitting there were sometimes less-than-great episodes.

Kemper gave a brighter perspective, saying, It didn’t matter, because there was always another one right around the corner. Even though the original series ended in 2013, the cast remains close. Fischer and Kinsey continue to host the Office Ladies podcast.

During the stage banter, Kaling joked about starting a podcast focused on writers, but Kemper quickly shut her down. Oh, Mindy, no one cares about writers, she said, getting a laugh from the audience.

The actresses are also busy with new projects. Kaling is executive producing the second season of the Netflix sports comedy Running Point, which premieres April 23. She also finished a Hulu series called Not Suitable for Work about career-focused young adults in Manhattan.

Fischer and Kinsey are working on a road-trip comedy film, New Year’s Rev, written and directed by Fischer’s husband, Lee Kirk. Fans of Dunder Mifflin also have the spin-off The Paper, which premiered on Peacock in late 2025.

It follows the same documentary crew from the original series as they cover a struggling Midwestern newspaper. The new show stars Domhnall Gleeson, with appearances from original cast member Oscar Nuñez as Oscar Martinez.

As the four women handed the ensemble trophy to the cast of The Studio, it was a reminder of the bond formed during their nine years in Scranton. Actor Steve Carell once said that at least once a day on set, he would laugh until tears came. Who has a job like that? he asked, and decades later, the cast still treasures those memories as much as the fans do.

The reunion at the Actor Awards highlighted how much the show continues to mean to both the cast and viewers. The women of The Office proved that even years later, their friendship and comedic legacy remain strong.
