The MCU Team-Up Fans Have Been Waiting For: Philip J. Silvera Wants Daredevil to Team Up With Fan-Favorite Characters
Philip J. Silvera, the action director behind Daredevil: Born Again, has shared the Marvel team-up he would most like to see happen in the future. According to an interview with Forbes, Silvera hopes to see Daredevil, Deadpool, and Spider-Man join forces in a future Marvel Cinematic Universe project.
Silvera has worked on several major action projects over the years, including Daredevil, Deadpool, Terminator, and Halo. While discussing the future of Daredevil: Born Again and the characters he would like to work with, he revealed that one comic book team remains his personal favorite.
The topic came up while Silvera was talking about Marvel’s large roster of heroes and villains. He explained that many of the characters connected to Daredevil work well together because they often represent different sides of the same ideas and struggles.
He pointed out that Daredevil and Bullseye have similar abilities, but very different moral codes. He also talked about the relationship between Daredevil and Kingpin, saying that both characters care deeply about New York City even though they choose very different paths. He also mentioned the dynamic between Matt Murdock and Frank Castle, also known as the Punisher.
When asked which characters he would most like to see appear alongside Daredevil in future stories, Silvera first spoke about characters from The Defenders world. However, he later revealed an even bigger wish while discussing what fans can expect from the future of the series.
Silvera confirmed that Luke Cage returned at the end of Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 and said he is excited about the direction Marvel is taking with its street-level heroes. He praised Marvel executives and producers for continuing to develop these characters and their stories.
Toward the end of the conversation, he brought up one of his favorite comic book teams.
“I got to be part of Deadpool, the first iteration with Tim Miller. I would love to see Daredevil and Deadpool together at some point because Team Red in the comics, with Spider-Man, is my favorite.”
For comic book fans, Team Red is a well-known trio made up of Daredevil, Deadpool, and Spider-Man. The group has appeared together in Marvel comics several times, mixing action, comedy, and street-level superhero stories.
A crossover between the three characters would likely be one of Marvel’s most talked-about projects. Charlie Cox’s Daredevil is now fully established in the MCU, while Deadpool officially joined the franchise through Deadpool & Wolverine. Spider-Man, played by Tom Holland, remains one of Marvel’s biggest heroes.

At the moment, Marvel has not announced any plans for a Daredevil, Deadpool, and Spider-Man team-up. Still, Silvera’s comments have already sparked excitement among fans who would love to see the popular trio share the screen.
Whether it happens in Daredevil: Born Again, a Spider-Man movie, or another MCU project, Silvera is clearly hoping Team Red eventually makes the jump from the comics to live action.
