‘The Mother’ Star Jennifer Lopez (57) Stops Dead in Her Tracks to Confront Paris Paparazzi During a Tense Fashion Week Outing
Jennifer Lopez has never been shy about fashion week. The 57-year-old singer and actress arrived in Paris after an especially experimental run in Milan, where she was among the big names at the Vogue World event and then stayed on for the city’s fashion week. By the time she reached France, photographers were following her almost everywhere she went.
Paris Fashion Week runs from Sept. 28 to Oct. 6, and Lopez was in town for the Spring/Summer 2027 collections. Celebitchy reported that the paparazzi had been swarming her every single day. That kind of attention can wear on anyone, even someone who has lived in the spotlight for decades.
On Tuesday, Sept. 29, it finally boiled over, at least for a few seconds. A short video shows Lopez stopping in the middle of the street to address a group of photographers who had crowded around her.
While stepping out of her hotel in Paris, Jennifer Lopez stopped to tell photographers to “stop acting crazy” after they followed her to take pictures. 👀

According to the video, Lopez was walking through the streets of Paris when photographers began to swarm around her. The clip, shared by Page Six on X and credited to BACKGRID, lasts about 16 seconds and offers only a brief glimpse of the encounter. Another version circulated on TikTok through the account celebzhunter.
In it, Lopez gestures with her hands and asks the group to stop acting crazy. She tells them to calm down, says nobody is running anywhere, and adds that they are not doing anything. She also tells them to take a quick breath, and ends with a simple thank you.
The photographers responded by apologizing, and the heat came up as the explanation for the chaos. After that, the New York Post reports, the mom of two allowed them to photograph her. The tone of the exchange was firm but ultimately calm, more of a teacher settling a classroom than a full blowup.
The outfit that drew the photographers was as noticeable as the confrontation itself. Lopez wore a white lace slip dress with spaghetti straps, a loose, retro-style bodice and a thigh-high slit. As theFashionSpot noted, the dress also left her back almost entirely exposed.
The styling was unexpected. Instead of heels, she paired the romantic dress with chunky black leather loafers and white crew socks, which Hola called unexpected granny shoes. She added oversized aviator sunglasses, statement earrings, a pendant necklace and a quilted black Lady Dior bag, with her hair in a messy bun.

She was reportedly on a shopping trip, visiting Goyard and Stella McCartney stores amid a crowd of fans. Not everyone approved of the look, as one commenter online mocked the dress, while others praised the casual-chic mix. It is a softer, more romantic style than her recent maximalist looks in Milan.
The outing was only part of Lopez’s Paris schedule. She later attended Stella McCartney’s Spring/Summer 2027 show, sitting front row in a faux fur shawl and dress. She was joined by other stars, including Kelsea Ballerini, Miranda Kerr, Natalia Bryant, Sabrina Elba and Kat Graham.
That appearance got attention for its own reasons. She was accused of diva behavior after her bodyguard was seen cleaning her seat with a tissue and holding an umbrella over her head while she checked her phone. She also wore a black veil and sat with an umbrella.
Taken together, the week shows how closely fans and photographers follow her every move. A single street encounter can quickly turn into a headline, especially when it is caught on video and shared across platforms.
Fashion week is one of the busiest times of year for celebrity photographers, and the crowds can be intense. A star stopping mid-stride to ask them to settle down makes for an instantly shareable clip. In this case, the exchange ended politely, which may be why the reaction has been more amused than angry.
It also shows a different side of Lopez’s public image. She has long been associated with polished glamour, but the video shows her handling an awkward moment with direct, calm firmness. Whether the footage becomes a footnote or the defining moment of her Paris trip may depend on what she wears next.
