‘The White Lotus’ Season 4 Starts Filming as New Information Surfaces
HBO has officially started production on Season 4 of The White Lotus, according to details released by the network. The new season will move the story to the French Riviera, giving the series a new setting filled with luxury hotels, celebrities, and high society events.
The show, created by Mike White, is known for mixing dark comedy with sharp social commentary. This time, the story will unfold during a single week and will follow a new group of wealthy guests and hotel staff. The events will take place during a busy period tied closely to the Cannes Film Festival.
According to the official information shared by HBO, the production will use real luxury locations in France to build the world of the show. The Airelles Château de la Messardière in Saint-Tropez will represent the fictional White Lotus du Cap. The Hôtel Martinez in Cannes will also be used as another major filming location called the White Lotus Cannes.
The new setting places the story right in the middle of the film industry’s most famous festival season. The characters will be surrounded by celebrities, film executives, and media attention, which fits the show’s focus on wealth, pressure, and social behavior.
The cast for Season 4 has also been revealed, featuring a mix of well-known actors and new faces. Helena Bonham Carter, Vincent Cassel, and Steve Coogan are among the main names joining the series. They will be joined by Kumail Nanjiani, Ari Graynor, Chris Messina, Chloe Bennet, Rosie Perez, and Max Greenfield, along with several newcomers.
According to HBO, Mike White will once again write and direct the entire season. The network says this helps keep the show’s style and tone consistent, especially as each season introduces a completely new location and cast.
Some of the actors joining this season are also coming off busy years in film and television. Helena Bonham Carter recently worked on the Enola Holmes film series. Kumail Nanjiani is also set to release a new comedy film titled The Breadwinner. Chris Messina has recently appeared in major projects, including Juror No. 2 and an upcoming war drama called Pressure.
Even though production has just started, fans will need to wait some time before seeing the new season. HBO has said that The White Lotus Season 4 is expected to premiere in 2027.
Still, early details suggest that this will be one of the biggest and most ambitious seasons so far. With a new luxury setting and a large ensemble cast, the show continues its pattern of exploring the chaos behind wealth and privilege in different parts of the world.
