Tim Burton Teases New Animated Project, Says He’s Waiting on the Script

Tim Burton is getting back into animation, and fans of his unique style have something to look forward to.
In a recent interview with Milenio, he mentioned that he’s currently developing a new animated project. While he didn’t share many details, he made it clear that he’s excited about it.
“I am working on something as an animated project. So, hopefully I’ll have the script soon and take it from there. It’s something I’m very excited about,” Burton said. That’s all he revealed for now, but even a small hint is enough to stir interest.
After all, this is the filmmaker behind beloved classics like Corpse Bride, Frankenweenie, and The Nightmare Before Christmas, movies that left a lasting mark on both animation and pop culture.
Burton has always had a special connection with animation. His signature mix of creepy, whimsical, and heartfelt storytelling has worked especially well in that format. Although we don’t know the story or style of this upcoming film yet, it’s not hard to imagine it fitting right in with his past work. Whether it’s stop-motion or another animated style, fans can expect something unusual and visually rich.
He’s also involved with Wednesday season two, which is set to arrive later this summer. With so many projects happening at once, it’s clear he’s still full of creative energy.
As for the new animated film, World of Reel pointed out the original story from Milenio and helped bring this exciting bit of news to wider attention. So while we don’t know much yet, one thing’s clear, Burton fans have plenty to be excited about in the near future.
