The wait is almost over for anime fans who have been sitting on the Tenjiku cliffhanger for nearly three years. The last batch of episodes, the Tenjiku Arc, aired from October to December 2023. Now the long-awaited ‘Tokyo Revengers’ release date is officially here, and the next chapter is ready to pull Takemichi back into the fire.

This new run, titled ‘Tokyo Revengers: War of the Three Titans Arc’, is shaping up to be the big finale. It adapts the manga’s final story arc, which is also known as the Three Deities arc. Here is everything you need to know before the premiere, from broadcast details to the story that awaits.

‘Tokyo Revengers’ Season 4 Release Date and Time

The arc premieres in Japan on October 2 on the MBS, TBS and CBC channels, in a late night slot listed as 25.53, which works out to just before 2 a.m. on October 3. That means Japanese viewers get a real night owl premiere. The series will also run on BS-TBS and AT-X.

International fans have had a different experience with this franchise in the past. Earlier seasons got a simultaneous global release, which meant new episodes landed on Disney’s services at a different time than the usual upload slot. I could not find a confirmed worldwide drop time for this premiere, so keep an eye on your local Disney+ listing for the exact hour.

One report also lists October 2 as the Disney+ debut date for the new arc. Either way, the first episode is only a day or so away, so there is not long left to rewatch the earlier seasons.

Where to Watch ‘Tokyo Revengers’ Season 4?

The streaming answer is simpler than it used to be. The new arc will stream worldwide, excluding China, exclusively on Disney+. If you want to follow along as episodes air, that is the platform to have ready.

Viewers in the United States have a slightly different path to think about. Disney+ and Hulu both streamed the Christmas Showdown arc as it aired. One outlet says the new arc will likely land on Hulu in the US as well. That is not officially confirmed in the sources I found, so check the app before you assume.

Catching up is where it gets a little messy. Crunchyroll streamed the 2021 first season, which remains the only entry available on that platform. Newcomers will need to split their rewatch across services.

War of the Three Titans Arc Preview

The official synopsis picks up right in the wreckage. The conflict between the Tokyo Manji Gang and Tenjiku has come to a gruesome end, and Takemichi finds himself in awe of the late Tetta Kisaki. After learning the full truth behind the time leaps, Mikey makes a crucial decision.

Then the story turns toward the future Takemichi has been chasing all along. He finally reaches the ultimate future where Hinata is alive, but a certain person is nowhere to be found. In the era of the Three Titans, where three teams battle for dominance, the final revenge begins.

The second trailer gave fans a peek at the stakes. It opens with Mikey asking Takemichi for help, then introduces the central figures of the three most powerful gangs that rose after the Tokyo Manji Gang dissolved. Those groups include members of Brahman and Rokuhara Tandai. A later promo video also showed Mikey and Sanzu twelve years on.

New Cast, Director and Opening Song

The creative team has a notable shake up behind the camera. Maki Kodaira, known for ‘The Seven Deadly Sins: Four Knights of the Apocalypse’, takes over as director from Kōichi Hatsumi. That is a big handoff for the final stretch of a series fans care deeply about.

The returning voices are set to carry the emotional weight. Yuu Hayashi voices Mikey, Yūki Shin voices Takemichi and Masaya Fukunishi voices Draken. Mariya Ise has also joined the cast as Senju Kawaragi.

Music is getting a high profile boost too. The opening theme is “IGNITE” by the boy band JO1. The source material has a strong pedigree as well. The manga won the Kodansha Manga Award for the shonen category and ran in Weekly Shonen Magazine from March 2017 to November 2022, collected into 31 volumes.

With the final revenge finally arriving and Mikey’s choice hanging over everything, which of the Three Titans factions are you most nervous to see Takemichi face, and do you think he can really save everyone this time?
