Tessa Thompson’s Valkyrie Is a Total Badass with More On-Screen Kills Than Most MCU Avengers
During battles, superheroes and other comic book characters often cause significant damage. While they don’t intend for this to happen, harm and casualties occur regardless. There are also instances where heroes kill intentionally, believing it’s the only way to defeat their enemies and achieve victory.
Though some superheroes, like Batman and Superman, adopt “no-kill” policies, this is more of an exception than a standard practice. Generally, superheroes don’t hesitate to eliminate their foes, whether they’re monsters, aliens, or something entirely different.
With that in mind, let’s explore the kill count of a particularly intriguing character from the MCU: Valkyrie. She’s such a formidable presence that her kill count surpasses that of most Avengers.
The data we’re presenting comes from an IMDb list created by user Creedswede, who meticulously tracked the kill count of both major and minor MCU characters, along with several key notes. According to his findings, here is Valkyrie’s kill count:
- Thor: Ragnarok – 74
- Avengers: Endgame – 56
- Thor: Love and Thunder – 28
- Total kills: 158+
She also appeared in Captain Marvel: The Marvels and Loki, but she had no kills in those projects, mainly because her appearances were either cameos or archive footage, making it unrealistic for her to engage in combat.
That said, with at least 158 confirmed on-screen kills across just three films, Valkyrie stands out as one of the most formidable superheroes in the franchise, perfectly embodying her warrior princess persona. This shows that the MCU has done an excellent job of developing her character within the series.
Looking ahead, she’s rumored to appear in Doomsday and possibly Secret Wars. If she gets into a legitimate fight in either of those films (rather than a scripted encounter for plot reasons), we’re confident her kill count will rise, as she is one of the MCU’s top fighters, capable of taking on most opponents.
However, these are just rumors for now, and we’ll have to wait and see what unfolds. We’ll keep you updated as new information becomes available.
These numbers have been updated as of Deadpool & Wolverine, where Valkyrie did not appear, so we can assume they are accurate.
