The Woman in the Yard is a 2025 psychological horror film directed by Jaume Collet-Serra and written by Sam Stefanak. The movie follows Ramona, a woman who is struggling after a car accident that took her husband’s life. She now has to take care of their children alone in a rural farmhouse. One day, a mysterious woman dressed in black appears in their yard and says, “Today’s the day.” At first, she seems harmless, but soon, terrifying events begin.

To promote the film, Universal used a scary marketing stunt. A woman dressed exactly like the mysterious character from the movie was seen sitting silently on a bench. The unusual marketing might help build excitement and buzz before the movie’s release.

The film was first scheduled for January 10, 2025, but was delayed before being officially released on March 28, 2025.
