‘Wednesday’ Actor Teases “A Lot More” of a Fan-Favorite Addams Family Character in Season 2

Netflix’s hit show Wednesday is gearing up for its second season, and fans can expect a bigger role for one of the Addams Family members. Isaac Ordonez, who plays Pugsley Addams, shared some details about what’s coming in an interview with ScreenRant.

This season, Pugsley arrives at Nevermore Academy with new supernatural powers. Because of this, his sister Wednesday begins to see him differently.

Ordonez said, “I think that now that he has powers, Wednesday has gained a little more respect for him.” Despite this change, their sibling relationship stays pretty normal and awkward. “They’re still your average siblings; they’re awkward. That remains the same, because Wednesday doesn’t change,” he added.

Ordonez also revealed that Season 2 will show different sides of Pugsley’s character. The first season focused on his emotional side, but now viewers will see more of his mischievous and quirky nature. He explained that Pugsley struggles to make friends at Nevermore and often feels lonely.

“When he gets to Nevermore, he is very lonely. He’s having a hard time making friends, so we do get to see that. I do play around with that.”

In Season 1, Wednesday was a newcomer to Nevermore and quickly got involved in solving a dangerous crime. The season ended with her using psychic powers to defeat the villain Joseph Crackstone. It’s not yet clear how Pugsley’s new abilities will influence the story in Season 2, but his connection with Wednesday will remain important.

Several returning stars will appear, including Fred Armisen, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzmán, and Christina Ricci. New cast members such as Thandiwe Newton and Steve Buscemi are joining the show. Alfred Gough and Miles Millar continue as co-showrunners, with Tim Burton and others serving as executive producers. Jenna Ortega, who plays Wednesday, is also an executive producer this season.

The new season will be released in two parts on August 6 and September 3, 2025.
