Why Sabrina Carpenter’s Performance Outfit Became the Grammys’ Biggest Fashion Moment
Sabrina Carpenter didn’t need much time to grab attention at the Grammy Awards. As soon as she stepped on stage, people knew her performance would be hard to forget. Viewers watching the live broadcast from the Crypto.com Arena and fans reacting online quickly made her one of the most talked-about stars of the night.
She appeared wearing an all-white outfit that reminded many people of a pilot’s uniform. The look included a fitted corset, short white shorts, and tall lace-up boots. She finished it off with a pilot-style hat. Photos and clips spread fast on Instagram and X, with fans saying she looked more like she belonged on a fashion runway than an award show stage.
The outfit was part of her performance of Manchild, her hit song that has been everywhere this past year. Instead of a simple stage setup, Sabrina turned the arena into what she called Sabrina Carpenter Airport.
The set included baggage belts, airport signs, and dancers dressed as different workers, from doctors to astronauts. The performance ended with her sitting on top of a giant airplane prop as it lifted into the air.
It was a big moment in an even bigger night for the singer. Sabrina walked into the Grammys with six nominations. Her album Man’s Best Friend was up for Album of the Year, while Manchild competed in major categories like Record of the Year and Song of the Year. Even with tough competition from artists like Lady Gaga and Bad Bunny, many fans felt her performance stood out the most.

Outside of music, Sabrina has been stacking up new projects. She recently confirmed she will star in and produce a new movie musical for Universal Pictures. The film is inspired by Alice in Wonderland and will be directed by Lorene Scafaria, the filmmaker behind Hustlers. This will be her first leading role in a major studio film, according to industry reports.
Her schedule doesn’t slow down there. She is also preparing to headline the Coachella music festival this April. She will share the top spot with Justin Bieber and Karol G. This marks a huge jump from just a few years ago, when she first performed at the festival and joked on stage that she would come back as a headliner one day.
Later this year, fans will also see her pop up in a special Muppet Show event on Disney+. The episode is part of the celebration for the Muppets’ 50th anniversary, according to Disney.
