Wilson Bethel Returns as Bullseye on Set of ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Season 3 in New Behind-the-Scenes Look
Wilson Bethel is back on set as Bullseye, and fans are already talking about what this means for Daredevil: Born Again Season 3. The new season is currently in production, and according to updates shared on Instagram by Bethel himself, the character Dex Poindexter is getting a fresh look as the story moves forward.
The information comes from Wilson Bethel’s social media post, where he showed a close-up of Bullseye’s gloved hand and new gauntlets. The design includes his well-known bullseye symbol, along with a darker black and gray armor style. Bethel also added the caption “Stepping out. #S3” while using the track “Steppin Out” by Big Gipp. The post quickly caught attention from Marvel fans who are closely following every update from the set.
Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 is already shaping up to be a major chapter in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. One of the biggest talking points is the return of the original Defenders team. Krysten Ritter is expected to return as Jessica Jones, Mike Colter as Luke Cage, and Finn Jones as Danny Rand, also known as Iron Fist. All three already appeared in smaller roles during Season 2, but Season 3 is set to bring them together in a more meaningful way.
Even with the Defenders reunion taking center stage, Bullseye’s storyline is also becoming a key part of the new season. Dex has gone through several changes over the course of the series. In Season 2, his actions under Wilson Fisk’s political influence led him deeper into chaos. At the same time, he began to see himself as a kind of “hero,” even though his methods were violent and destructive.
His role became even more complicated after he was involved in major events that changed the balance of power in the story. He was later pulled into operations linked to CIA agent Mr. Charles, a character connected to Valentina Allegra de Fontaine’s wider network. This places him in a much larger system of secret operations and global missions, far away from his earlier street-level actions in New York.
The new costume tease suggests that Marvel may be upgrading Bullseye’s look as his role expands. In earlier seasons, his outfits were more tactical and grounded, often described by fans as too simple compared to his comic book design. While nothing has been officially confirmed, the new armor shown in Bethel’s post appears more stylized and closer to a traditional superhero or villain suit.
Some fans believe this change reflects Bullseye’s shift from a lone vigilante to a government-controlled operative. Others think it could hint at future appearances beyond the series, possibly in larger MCU crossover projects.

According to Marvel-related production updates and commentary surrounding Daredevil: Born Again, Season 3 is expected to explore these character shifts in more detail while balancing multiple storylines, including the Defenders reunion and the ongoing conflict with Kingpin’s influence.
For now, Wilson Bethel’s post is the clearest look yet at what’s coming for Bullseye. And while Marvel has not revealed full details, one thing is clear: Dex is stepping into a new phase, and it looks like he is doing it with a very different kind of armor.
