By the time the global press tour for ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ kicked off, it was already clear that Zendaya and her stylist Law Roach had something bigger in mind than a standard promotional run.

The pair have spent years turning press circuits into fashion statements, and this summer, with one of the most anticipated Marvel releases on the horizon, they are not holding back.

Rather than leaning into obvious spiderweb motifs or literal costume references, Zendaya and Roach have been building a quieter, more sophisticated color story around black, red, and white, the three shades most associated with Spider-Man, without ever letting the looks feel like costumes. The goal, as the approach makes clear, is to extend the world of the film onto the red carpet in a way that feels like high fashion first and film promotion second.

The Berlin stop of the tour brought that philosophy into sharp focus. At the photocall, Zendaya stepped out in a red number 39 jersey top paired with a structured plaid midi skirt, posing in front of the city skyline with the ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ branding visible behind her. The look was casual and cool, a deliberate shift in register compared to the more formal ensembles from earlier stops, and it immediately lit up social media.

The press tour had already produced standout looks across Madrid and Amsterdam, with Zendaya wearing Christian Cowan at the Madrid photocall, Ernesto Naranjo at the Madrid press junket, Louis Vuitton at the Amsterdam photocall, and Alexander McQueen at the Amsterdam fan event. Each stop had its own distinct visual logic, and Berlin continued that pattern with a more grounded, sporty aesthetic that still felt intentional.

Tom Holland Confirms Only One Person Remembers Peter Parker in ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’

With upcoming stops in London, New York City, and more still ahead, there is no shortage of Zendaya outfits for fans to look forward to, naturally with Tom Holland by her side. The two have been making their way across Europe together, and the promotional run has doubled as a high-profile public moment for the couple, marking their first red carpet appearances together since 2021, when they were promoting ‘No Way Home.’

The film itself has been a long time in development. Producer Amy Pascal previously revealed plans for another Spider-Man trilogy starring Holland, and work on the story began shortly after ‘No Way Home’ was released. The project officially received its title in 2025, drawing inspiration from the Marvel comic storyline of the same name. Filming took place across several locations in the United Kingdom, including Glasgow and Pinewood Studios.

Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, the film follows Peter Parker as he tries to focus on college and leave Spider-Man behind, only to be pulled back in when a new threat endangers his friends. The cast includes Tom Holland and Zendaya alongside Jon Bernthal, Sadie Sink, Jacob Batalon, Tramell Tillman, Michael Mando, and Mark Ruffalo.

The official synopsis describes Peter facing pressure as he watches his old friends move on without him, which sparks a change in him he may not have the power to control, though that transformation might also be the only thing that can stop a shocking new threat to the city and those he loves.

‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ will arrive in movie theaters on July 31, and it will mark the 38th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. With the release still weeks away and multiple press tour cities yet to come, the combination of Marvel anticipation and fashion spectacle is only going to keep building. Every new city brings a new look, and every new look adds another layer to one of the most stylish promotional campaigns in recent MCU memory.
