Kinema Citrus leads animation (with DR Movie involvement in later seasons). Season 1 is directed by Takao Abo; Season 2 by Masato Jinbo; and Season 3 by Hitoshi Haga. Core Japanese cast includes Kaito Ishikawa (Naofumi), Asami Seto (Raphtalia), and Rina Hidaka (Filo), with Kevin Penkin composing the music in early seasons.

Broadcast began July 2025 on JNN affiliates (including TBS/CBC), with worldwide streaming on Crunchyroll. The official site highlights Rudo’s set-up and the series’ focus on “vital instruments”—weapons born from objects’ lingering anima.

Studio Hibari produces the TV series, directed by Ato Nonaka with assistant direction by Hiroyuki Hashimoto, series composition by Yukie Sugawara, and music by Kōhta Yamamoto. Momo believes in spirits but not aliens; Okarun believes in aliens but not spirits—until both are proven wrong. Their investigations play out as escalating encounters with Turbo Granny, Serpo, and more, matched with frantic chases and gags across schoolyards and abandoned sites.

Science SARU animates the series; Season 1 is directed by Fūga Yamashiro with series composition by Hiroshi Seko and music by Kensuke Ushio. The Japanese voice cast stars Shion Wakayama as Momo and Natsuki Hanae as Okarun, with Mayumi Tanaka as Turbo Granny and additional roles by Nana Mizuki, Ayane Sakura, and Kaito Ishikawa. Season 2 began airing in summer 2025 with returning staff and cast.

The series adapts the light novels by Tadashi Kubō and follows Ryō’s encounters with monsters, travelers, and political forces that want his power—or want it stopped.

The anime is produced by Typhoon Graphics and Wonderland, directed by Hideyuki Satake with series scripts by Jun Kumagai, character designs by Yūka Kozutsumi, and music by Kei Haneoka. Cast listings include Ayumu Murase (Ryō), Kazuki Ura (Abel), and Kaede Hondo (Sera). The show debuted in July 2025 on TBS in Japan and streams internationally via Crunchyroll.

Alongside recruits like Reno Ichikawa and elite captain Mina Ashiro of the Japan Anti-Kaiju Defense Force, Kafka hides his secret while battling ever-stronger threats. Based on Naoya Matsumoto’s manga, the anime blends military sci-fi and monster-of-the-week stakes with an overarching conspiracy around humanity’s evolving enemies.

The TV adaptation is produced by Production I.G with Studio Khara supervising kaiju designs. Season 1 is directed by Shigeyuki Miya and Tomomi Kamiya with series composition by Ichirō Ōkouchi; character designs and chief animation direction come from Tetsuya Nishio, monster designs from Mahiro Maeda, and music by Yuta Bandoh. The Japanese cast features Masaya Fukunishi as Kafka, Wataru Katō as Reno, and Asami Seto as Mina, with additional roles by Fairouz Ai and Kengo Kawanishi.
