J.K. Rowling Reveals the Harry Potter Film She Loves Most — It’s Not What You’d Expect
J.K. Rowling, the author behind the beloved Harry Potter series, has revealed her favorite film from the franchise, surprising many fans.
According to Rowling, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 holds a special place for her. She told Reuters, “This is my favourite film of the lot. So it’s a very exciting evening but I’m looking forward to seeing it again. I’ve only seen it once.”
The Harry Potter saga follows the journey of a young wizard, Harry, as he discovers his magical heritage and attends Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Alongside his friends Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley, he faces numerous challenges that test his courage and loyalty.
These trials eventually lead to a final showdown with the dark wizard Voldemort. The story, spread across seven novels and adapted into eight films, explores themes of friendship, identity, sacrifice, and the battle between good and evil.
Deathly Hallows: Part 1, released in 2010 and directed by David Yates, captures Harry, Ron, and Hermione leaving Hogwarts to destroy Voldemort’s Horcruxes, setting the stage for the epic conclusion in Part 2. The film marks a shift in the series, moving from school adventures to a full-scale war against evil.

Fans have reacted enthusiastically to Rowling’s choice. One reviewer said, “I think this movie is the best I’ve ever watched! I just finished the series a week ago, and they were so good! I wish they never ended.”
Another fan praised the performances, writing, “Hats off to Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Rupert Grint, Tom Felton, and all those who worked hard for this movie. Thanks J.K. Rowling for giving us such a wonderful book. I thoroughly enjoyed it.”
The Harry Potter universe has expanded beyond the original films, including spin-offs like Fantastic Beasts, the stage play Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, theme park attractions, and video games. Rowling has hinted that there is still a slim chance she might return to Harry Potter’s story in the future.
