Actors Who Played Two (or More) Different Marvel Characters
Marvel stories cross studios, timelines, and universes, so it is no surprise that some performers step into more than one role along the way. Sometimes they move from one studio’s series to another. Other times they switch parts within the same universe through voice or performance capture. These casting choices create interesting links across films without changing the stories on screen.
Here are notable actors who have taken on two or more distinct Marvel characters in feature films. Each entry lists the key movies up top, then explains what the actor did in each role and where else those characters appear. It is a simple way to track how the same face can mean very different things across the Marvel multiverse.
Chris Evans in ‘Fantastic Four’ and ‘Captain America: The First Avenger’

Before joining the Avengers, Chris Evans played Johnny Storm in ‘Fantastic Four’ and returned to the team in ‘Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer’. The 20th Century Fox films presented him as the Human Torch with full control over flame and flight as part of the classic quartet alongside Reed Richards, Sue Storm, and Ben Grimm.
Evans later took on Steve Rogers in ‘Captain America: The First Avenger’ for Marvel Studios. He continued as Captain America in ‘The Avengers’, ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’, ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’, ‘Captain America: Civil War’, ‘Avengers: Infinity War’, and ‘Avengers: Endgame’.
