At the Stranger Things Season 5 premiere, David Harbour and Millie Bobby Brown appeared friendly and happy together, putting rumors of tension behind them. On the red carpet, the co-stars hugged, posed for selfies with fans, and complimented each other in interviews.

Brown told Entertainment Tonight, “I obviously had a really special bond with David because we have a father-daughter relationship, and we do every scene together… It’s been so special to have him along the journey for me.”

Harbour echoed her feelings, saying, “I adore her, and I’ve been proud to watch all of them grow up and become such great artists… this particular project is so special, and we’ve gotten to know each other so deeply.”

Their public display of warmth came shortly after a Daily Mail report claimed that Brown had filed a bullying and harassment complaint against Harbour before production of Season 5 began. Neither actor directly addressed the report at the premiere, and Harbour kept his media interactions brief.

According to Variety and Deadline, insiders confirmed that an investigation into Brown’s complaint did take place but has since been resolved. Sources explained that any issues between the actors occurred earlier in the series’ production, not immediately before Season 5, and there have been no further problems since.

So basically, whoever gave the info to the Daily Mail lied since the original report clearly states that the bullying issue started just before the last season was about to be filmed.

During the premiere, both actors praised one another, and co-creator Ross Duffer told The Hollywood Reporter, “Nothing matters more than just having a set where everyone feels safe and happy.”

The event also featured emotional speeches from the Duffer brothers, series director and executive producer Shawn Levy, and Netflix executives, including co-CEO Ted Sarandos and Chief Creative Officer Bela Bajaria. Sarandos reflected on the show’s impact, saying, “I was in a magical place 10 years ago when Stranger Things was pitched to Netflix… our real moment was when we put on Stranger Things, a show that moved the culture.”

It’s reassuring to see Brown and Harbour publicly showing respect and camaraderie despite past issues. The show has been a cultural touchstone for over a decade, and a positive working environment is essential for both the cast and the series’ success.
