My Hero Academia Surprises Fans with New Episode for 10-Year Anniversary
My Hero Academia anime is gearing up to celebrate its 10th anniversary with some big announcements. At Jump Festa 2026, fans learned that a special extra episode will be released on May 2, 2026.
The episode, titled “More,” will adapt Chapter 431 of Kohei Horikoshi’s manga. This chapter acts as an epilogue to the series, showing Deku and his friends eight years after the main story as they continue their journeys as adult heroes.

The special episode will also be available to stream on Crunchyroll when it premieres. Alongside the new episode, an anniversary visual by character designer Yoshihiko Umakoshi was revealed, and a worldwide concert tour was announced.
The My Hero Academia in Concert tour will feature live performances of Yuki Hayashi’s music paired with visuals from the anime. The tour begins at Pacifico Yokohama in Japan on May 30, 2026, with international dates to be shared later.

The anime’s final season was directed by Naomi Nakayama under chief director Kenji Nagasaki at Studio Bones. The series composition was done by Yosuke Kuroda, character designs by Yoshihiko Umakoshi, and music by Yuki Hayashi. Crunchyroll continues to stream the anime series, including episodes, specials, and movies from the franchise.
For those new to the series, My Hero Academia follows Izuku Midoriya, a boy born without superpowers in a world where most people have them. Despite this, he dreams of becoming a hero and manages to enroll in one of the most prestigious hero academies.
