The JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure anime continues with the announcement of its next arc, Steel Ball Run. At Jump Festa 2026, a new trailer revealed that the first episode will be 47 minutes long and will premiere worldwide on Netflix on March 19, 2026.

The season introduces two new characters. Masaaki Mizunaka will voice Sand Man, while Kenichiro Matsuda takes on the role of Pocoloco. The main cast includes Shogo Sakata as Johnny Joestar, Yohei Azakami as Gyro Zeppeli, Kaito Ishikawa as Diego Brando, Rie Takahashi as Lucy Steel, and Kenta Miyake as Steven Steel.

The series is directed by Yasuhiro Kimura and Hideya Takahashi at David Production, with Toshiyuki Kato serving as series director. Yasuko Kobayashi handles series composition, Daisuke Tsumagari is in charge of character designs, and Yugo Kanno returns as the composer.

Steel Ball Run is set in 1890 America and follows the first horse racing championship across North America, covering roughly 4,000 miles with a prize of 50 million dollars. Johnny Joestar, once a famous jockey, is now paralyzed and struggling with despair. He finds hope in Gyro Zeppeli, an outlaw who also aims to win the race. Together, they form an alliance as they compete, each pursuing their own goals in the grueling competition.

Crunchyroll streams parts one through five of the JoJo anime, while Netflix exclusively streams the sixth part, Stone Ocean.

Steel Ball Run looks set to be an exciting addition to the JoJo series, with a compelling story and strong cast. The long first episode and new characters should give fans a thrilling start to the race. Are you ready to watch the premiere? Share your thoughts in the comments.
