New Trailer Released for Emerald Fennell’s ‘Wuthering Heights’
Emerald Fennell’s upcoming film Wuthering Heights has released a new trailer, giving fans a new look at her modern take on the classic novel by Emily Brontë.
The Gothic erotic psychological drama stars Margot Robbie as Catherine Earnshaw and Jacob Elordi as Heathcliff, with Hong Chau, Shazad Latif, Alison Oliver, Martin Clunes, and Ewan Mitchell in supporting roles. Warner Bros. Pictures will release the film on February 13, 2026, just in time for Valentine’s Day.
Fennell, who wrote, directed, and produced the film, announced in July 2024 that she would adapt the 1847 novel. By September, Robbie and Elordi had been cast as the leads, with Robbie also producing through her LuckyChap Entertainment label alongside MRC. Robbie had previously collaborated with Fennell on Promising Young Woman and Saltburn, the latter of which also starred Elordi.

The casting of Elordi as Heathcliff, a character traditionally described as racially ambiguous, drew some controversy. Fennell defended the choice, saying he “looked exactly like the illustration of Heathcliff on the first book that I read.” Other cast members joined in late 2024 and early 2025, including Hong Chau, Alison Oliver, Shazad Latif, and three young actors making their film debuts as the younger versions of Catherine, Heathcliff, and Nelly Dean.
Filming took place across the United Kingdom from January to April, with 35mm VistaVision cameras used to capture the landscapes of the Yorkshire Dales, including Arkengarthdale, Swaledale, and the village of Low Row. The cinematography was led by Linus Sandgren.
The newly released trailer showcases the dark and intense tone of the film, highlighting the complicated relationship between Catherine and Heathcliff along with the Gothic setting. Fans can expect a visually striking adaptation of Brontë’s novel when the movie hits theaters next February.
