Sydney Sweeney recently posed nude for W Magazine’s 2026 Best Performances issue, showing off a bold and confident side of the actress. In a wide-ranging interview with the magazine, Sweeney also spoke about her recent film roles, upcoming projects, and personal experiences.

Sweeney shared that she helped get the film The Housemaid produced. “I was a huge fan of the book. The moment I opened the first page, I did not put it down until I finished. I knew there was a script circulating, and I went after it. I came onboard and worked with Lionsgate to package the film. I love being able to be part of building the entire world, not just my actor’s world. It’s like a giant puzzle that I get to put together,” she said.
She also praised her co-star Amanda Seyfried, calling her “my spirit animal” and saying she helped her feel more comfortable on set.

Sweeney reflected on her role as boxer Christy Martin, noting the physical transformation she underwent. “I did physically change for it, so I was still coming home as Christy, in a sense. But the emotions, fights, and traumas that she went through, I tried not to bring those home with me,” she explained. She said that separating herself from her characters helps her stay grounded and not carry the weight of their experiences.
The actress also discussed personal details, like her scars from childhood accidents, her early experiences wearing high heels, and her fearless approach to life. “Yes. There are a lot of things that scare me, but that doesn’t stop me. Usually, if something scares me, then I’m going to do it. I have a fear of heights, but I jumped out of a plane and went skydiving. I’ll scream the whole way, but then I’ll want to do it again,” she said.
Sweeney spoke briefly about her recent films, including Echo Valley, Americana, and Christy, and reflected on the impact of Christy Martin’s story. “I am so deeply proud of this movie … We don’t always just make art for numbers, we make it for impact. And Christy has been the most impactful project of my life,” she said.
Looking ahead, she is also attached to play Kim Novak in the romantic drama Scandalous, directed by Colman Domingo.
