Jacob Elordi is opening up about his love for movies, childhood crushes, and the moments that still move him today.

The actor shared these stories in a recent interview with W Magazine, where he also appeared in a fashion shoot wearing Chanel.

While talking about the films and TV shows he grew up with, Elordi admitted that several on-screen stars left a big impression on him when he was younger.

He named classic TV, teen movies, and Disney stars as early crushes. “I Dream of Jeannie. And then Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, in the film New York Minute. Both of them collectively. Also Miley Cyrus as Hannah Montana. And Hilary Duff, when she’s in Italy in that one movie,” he said. He added that even small details from those films are still clear in his memory, showing how much they stuck with him at the time.

Elordi also spoke about movies that affect him emotionally. He revealed that Ang Lee’s Sense and Sensibility made him cry during a quiet but powerful moment involving Kate Winslet’s character. He described watching the film at home and suddenly feeling overwhelmed. “I cried through that movie, just at the hopeless beauty of us all,” he shared.

When the conversation turned lighter, Elordi talked about his favorite karaoke song. He said his go-to choice is “Walking in Memphis,” though not the Cher version.

He explained that the song connects to memories rather than travel, since he never actually visited the city while preparing for his role as Elvis in Sofia Coppola’s film due to Covid restrictions. Still, he said playing Elvis was a fun experience.

Elordi also joked about his personality when asked whether he’s more like a cat or a dog. He said dog feels like the safer answer, while choosing cat would feel like giving himself too much credit.

Over the past few years, he has become known as one of Hollywood’s biggest young stars, often labeled a heartthrob by major outlets like GQ, Rolling Stone, and The Atlantic. His height, style, and high-profile roles have all added to his public image.
