Lauren Sánchez Bezos Faces a Risky Moment in Extreme Heels at Glamorous Event
Lauren Sánchez Bezos had a brief but very human moment in Paris that reminded everyone that even perfectly planned fashion appearances can go sideways. According to photos and video shared by fashion media covering Paris Couture Week, the media personality nearly stumbled while arriving at the Christian Dior Haute Couture Spring Summer 2026 show on January 26.
Lauren attended the event with her husband, Jeff Bezos, and the two arrived hand in hand as cameras flashed around them. As they walked toward the entrance, Lauren’s tall gray suede heels caught on the edge of a step near the doorway. For a split second, it looked like she might fall. She quickly caught herself, adjusted her footing, and kept walking as if nothing had happened.

Witnesses at the show noted that she handled the moment calmly and did not appear rattled. Fashion outlets that captured the clip pointed out how fast she recovered before disappearing inside the venue.
For the Dior show, Lauren wore a light gray tweed outfit made up of a fitted knee-length skirt and a matching top. The look was finished with a dramatic fur collar that stood out against the neutral tones. Jeff Bezos matched her polished style with a dark blue blazer and trousers, along with his now familiar gray beard.
Earlier the same day, the couple attended the Schiaparelli couture show, where Lauren went in a very different direction. Photos from that event, shared by runway photographers, showed her dressed head to toe in red. She wore a bright red jacket with a gold button at the waist, a matching skirt, and red suede heels. Jeff kept things more relaxed with a black blazer, open collar shirt, and leather loafers.
Outside of fashion week, Lauren has been busy with projects that go beyond the runway. Earlier this year, she announced a major donation through the Bezos Earth Fund. According to the organization, she helped secure a 37.5 million dollar grant aimed at protecting 835,000 square miles of the Pacific Ocean.
She has also been named a Literacy Champion for Scholastic’s United States of Readers program. In interviews promoting the initiative, Lauren has spoken openly about growing up with dyslexia and wanting kids to see learning differences as strengths rather than limits.
Looking ahead, Lauren and Jeff are set to take on an even bigger spotlight as lead donors for the 2026 Met Gala. According to organizers, the event will take place on May 4 and will celebrate the opening of the Costume Institute’s first permanent galleries. The theme for the night is Costume Art, with Anna Wintour co-chairing alongside Nicole Kidman, Venus Williams, and Beyoncé, who is returning to the gala after a decade away.
