Justin Baldoni marked his 42nd birthday quietly, but the moment carried extra weight. The actor and director is still caught in a public and legal fight with Blake Lively, and his parents used the occasion to show clear support. Their messages were shared publicly on social media and reflect what they describe as a very hard year for their son.

According to posts shared online, Baldoni’s father, Sam Baldoni, looked back on the day his son was born. He described holding Justin for the first time after a difficult labor and called the experience spiritual and overwhelming.

Sam also praised the man Justin has become, especially his role as a husband to Emily Baldoni and a father to their two children. In his message, he directly referenced the past year, writing, Son, in a year full of turmoil and injustice, you have remained steadfast in your faith, knowing that truth and justice will prevail.

Justin’s mother, Sharon Baldoni, shared her own message the same day. She posted a quote from the Baha’i writings, the faith followed by the family, and thanked people who have supported her son. Sharon said she has been moved by the online support campaign that has grown around him. I never imagined I would see the words Justice for Justin from people all over the world, in support of my son, she wrote, expressing gratitude to those who continue to stand by him.

The legal conflict surrounding Baldoni began after the release of It Ends with Us in 2024. The film, based on the Colleen Hoover novel, starred Baldoni and Blake Lively, with Baldoni also serving as director. After the movie premiered, Lively filed a complaint with the California Civil Rights Department. She accused Baldoni of s***** harassment and claimed he was involved in a smear campaign against her. Baldoni has denied all allegations.

Court records show that Baldoni later filed a countersuit accusing Lively of defamation and extortion. That case was dismissed by a judge in late 2025. The dispute is now expected to move forward as a civil trial scheduled for May 18.

Despite the controversy, It Ends with Us has remained a box office hit. Industry reports say the movie has earned more than $350 million worldwide. While many praised the film for how it handled themes of domestic violence, the real-life conflict between its stars has often dominated headlines.

Before the legal drama, Baldoni was best known for playing Rafael Solano on the CW series Jane the Virgin. In recent years, he has focused more on directing and producing. He co-founded Wayfarer Studios, a company known for projects centered on social issues. He also wrote the best-selling book Man Enough, which grew out of his TED Talk and podcast exploring modern masculinity.

As the trial date approaches, Baldoni has mostly stayed silent online. Instead, his family and legal team have spoken on his behalf. The messages from his parents make it clear where they stand, and the Justice for Justin movement continues to circulate among his supporters as the case moves closer to court.
